Clear and pristine Silver Creek ripples through town over a rocky bed of stones rounded by time. Gorgeous large baskets of flowers hang from downtown businesses in the temperate summer.
From our shops featuring hand crafted local and regional items to the artistic depictions of historic events and citizens that are abundant in murals that dot the buildings like gigantic canvases, Silverton is truly a center of arts and culture not to be missed!
The Silverton Arts Association (S.A.A.) began in 1968 when a handful of
local artists joined together in support of each other and the visual
Today S.A.A. is a 501C-3 non-profit organization with an average membership of 140 artists and patrons of the arts. Our Board of Directors includes four officers. S.A.A. staff includes a part time office coordinator and part time education coordinator.
We serve as a vital art and educational resource in our community by providing artistic instruction to all ages groups through workshops that cover diverse artistic media.
