CREATE WITH US

The primary purpose of the Association shall be to nurture, exhibit, inform, and promote appreciation and practice of the arts in the greater Silverton area.  Through education, the Association will increase public understanding and practice of the arts for present and future generations.

A New Fund for Accessible Arts Programming

The Silverton Arts Association is proud to partner with Robert Foster’s friends, family, and associates to create the Robert Foster Accessible Arts Fund — supporting accessible arts programming in our rural community of Silverton, Oregon.

This fund honors Robert’s longtime work as an animator and a former board member of the Silverton Arts Association by helping support the Association’s successful Art for All program.

Art for All subsidizes the cost of classes and art supplies at our local Art Center, ensuring that students receive top-quality instruction and supplies at greatly reduced cost. Thanks to regional partners like Oregon Community Foundation and donors like you, our arts programming serves not only adults, but over 1,000 youth per year, many of whom have no dedicated art programs in their public schools.

  • Classes for Adults and Youth

Our programming is affordable and professional — teachers have work experience with Disney, PBS, Stanford University, and more.

We also provide art teachers and supplies for our local public schools — with over 900 students served in 2022-2023!

  • The Borland Community Arts Space

Resident artists host our community arts space Wednesday-Sunday from 10am-1pm, where visitors can enjoy free art supplies, coffee, and creative community. Stop in and become part of our creative community!

  • The Silverton Art Center

Located beside beautiful Coolidge McClaine Park, our Art Center hosts cultural and educational events throughout the year, as well as space for other local arts nonprofits like the Mural Society and Poetry Association. Open studio hours are available for visitors and members.
