Sumi Ink Surface Designs

Bring your inner artist out to play! In this fun and serendipitous workshop we will first experiment with spray inks and watercolor to create dynamic backgrounds, then we blow air through straws to "dance" the sumi ink across the surface and make abstract designs. Always fun! Always surprising! The Japanese term “sumi” means “black ink”.

Add gel pens, glitter pens, and/or posca paint markers to create designs that can be used in large format as framed art, or in smaller pieces for cards or collage.

 Workshop fee: $95.00
