Whether you're picking up a pencil for the first time or brushing off old skills, you'll learn the fundamentals of line, shape, shading, and perspective while building confidence and developing your unique style. We are THRILLED to offer this class as an "Art for All" offering. What does this mean? The Silverton Art Center applied for, and was awarded, a grant that allows us to offer classes to the community at a reduced cost. Part of the cost of this class is SUBSIDIZED by a grant from Lynn’s Smile Fund of Oregon, through Oregon Community Foundation.
ABOUT THIS INSTRUCTOR:
Linden is a member of the Lunaria Gallery here in town and also the Imogen Gallery in Astoria. Linden holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Pacific Northwest College of Art (1998) and an Associate of Arts with High Honors from Clatsop Community College (1996). She is a passionate educator and artist, Linden founded The Linden Tree in Benicia, California, where from 2000 to 2005 they taught classes in Drawing, Figure Drawing, Sculpture, and Painting to students of all ages. As a certified instructor with Pathways and Sonoma Charter Schools, Linden created a welcoming and creative environment that encouraged artistic growth in both children, teens and adults.
